I need teens to recommend books for me!?

I am a teen librarian. I'm taking an online course about teens and books. One of my assignments is to read 2 books recommended by teens. Any suggestions?

I need teens to recommend books for me!?

Two of my favorite books, and yes, I am a teen.

Reply:Firstly, I would recommend 'The Amulet of Samarkand', 'The Golem's Eye' and 'Ptolemy's Gate', which are all part of the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud. It is tremendously funny and I and all my friends have enjoyed it.

Secondly, I would recommend 'Across yhe Nightingale Floor', 'Grass for His Pillow', 'Brilliance of the Moon' and 'Harsh Cry of the Heron' which are all part of the Tales of The Otori series by Lian Hearn.

Unfortunately, I realise that you only have to read two books, but if I were in your position, I would read both series, as they are two opposite sides of popular teen books.
Reply:Dont' forget Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.

Also, maybe a graphic novel. I liked Y: The last Man and Persepolis.
Reply:The City of Ember was really good, a lot of my classmated liked it as well. I also liked the Redwall Series and A series of unfortunate events, those are really popular. I saw lots of people reading The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but I haven't read it yet.

Reply:i am not a teenager but I have a thirteen year old girl. She read a book called Visitors by Bob Chapman and was very impressed. I read it after she did on her recommendation and I thought it was excellent as well.
Reply:can you keep a secret was good

also, i'm not sure if the long way down was a teen novel, but there was a teenage girl in it.
Reply:Any books by Kevin Brooks. His books are pretty "hard core" if you know what I mean. So if you have way over protective parents I don't know.

Margret Peterson Haddix is another awesome author.
