Teens in the pool?

I caught some teens swimming in my neighbors pool last night. They are out of town and I am keeping an eye on the house. They are kids from down the street, 2 guys and 2 girls. I don't know their parents but I do know which house one of the girls lives in. My question is this: I was a teen once and should I just let this go? Or should I let the parents know what their kids were up to. I really don't want to be a stick in the mud. Also, should I tell my neighbor about this?

Teens in the pool?
yes because if something were to happen and one of them were injured your neighbor would be sued....happened to my parents
Reply:tell the kids to stop and if they do it again tell the owners of the house they should be the one contacting the parents
Reply:i would tell the neighbor that they were in their pool, and if they ask who tell them who you saw, and let them decide whether or not to contact the parents. It wasn't your pool, so if I were you I would let the owner deal/decide about it
Reply:leave it. if you catch them again, then address the situation but until then, dont ruin it for them. remember what it was like for you as a teen?
Reply:Tell their parents AND your neighbor. They shouldn't be doing that.
Reply:Warn the kids once. If it happens again, then let the parties involved know what's going on.
Reply:well if was the first time that they did it, then i guess i would not tell on them, but if they did it again i would shout through my window or something and say "i am calling the cops if you don't get your butts out of that pool and i am going to tell your parents too", also for all those other people saying that if anything happens to those kids in your neighbor yard, that your neighbor would be the one to get in trouble that not true, those kids are trespassing on the neighbor's property and your neighbor is not home, so it would be the kids fault. i would not tell my neighbor, especially if not was damaged on his/her property.
Reply:tell the kids that you are taking care of your neighbor house and there is nobody allowed in the neighbors property... now if they don't listen THEN you tell their parents.. because you already warned them... and yes you could tell the owner of the pool what happend, as soon as you settle the problem with the kids.. its her property andshe should know.. that way she knows that she can rely on your honesty..
Reply:talk to them about it and tell them dont come back but if they do then tell at least you gave them a warning
Reply:It depends. Were they skinny dipping? Did they have sex in the pool? Did they leave anything in the pool? Did the neighbors specifically say "don't let anyone near the pool?" If not, I wouldn't worry about it.
Reply:u kno how teens are these days.. let them live their life.

its their life, not urs.

u had those flirty, romantic nites when u were younger..

what would u think if someone told ur mom u were out late last nite flirting with guys?
Reply:YES! TELL ON THEM, TRUST ME, IF YOU DON'T, YOU'LL LIVE WITH GUILT, AND EVENTUALLY YOU'LL TELL, BUT THE SOONER THE BETTER, TRUST ME, I'VE EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE!

HOPE THIS HELPS!!

GOOD LUCK!
Reply:acually the best thing to do is that warn the gurl u know that to tell her friends if u caught them one more time in the pool or in the house i will tell ur parents and u will be in big trouble!! then.. iam sure the kids will not do that! and if they do so.. then tell her mom otherwise dont!
Reply:You should tell your neighbor and tell the parents. And you should tell the cops too! What they did is illegal. They need to know that they can't get away doing everything!
Reply:Let them have their fun. You don't want to be a narc. Even if they never found out you told on them, you would know you did it.
Reply:i wouldnt talk to the parents maybe u can talk to the teenagers and telll ur neighbor but dont mention any names
Reply:Well when I was growing up I would have been in a lot of trouble if my dad found out I had trespassed onto to someone's backyard.

Why not confront them next time and talk to them, explain that you are watching the house and the owner won't like them being there.
Reply:Yes tell cause they will do it again then tell your neighbors would find out and call you iiresponsible.
Reply:No, you shouldn't tell their parents.

Yes, you should tell your neighbors. But, you should have threatened to call the cops the minute you saw them in the pool. If your neighbor told you to keep an eye on the house, I would have kicked them out myself.

If anything happened to those kids -- a slip or fall, or something worse, your neighbors would be at fault.
Reply:You are responsible. I'd call the cops.
Reply:Absolutely let the neighbors know. If anything had happened to one of the kids they could be held liable for damages and lose their house.

Also the parents of the kids need to know because they could be held responsible for any damage the kids do.
Reply:don't tell they were only in pool ..its not like they were in the house.... duhh!
Reply:Give the freebie. If they try it again, then talk to the parents. Allowing kids to be kids is okay, but after they have been told something is wrong, then it's their own stupidity.
Reply:Let your neighbor know ASAP. I'd also call the police - those kids are technically trespassing, and if God Forbid, something happens to one of them (they get injured or something) or property gets damaged or stolen, that'll be a bigger problem than having some annoyed teenagers. You're keeping an eye on your neighbor's home and looking out for them.
Reply:Tell the parents and the neighbors. How would you like it if you came home and found things broken, missing, or vandalized at your home? Not saying they are doing that, but it is private property. They have no right or business on that land without permission. What if something were to happen and a kid get hurt? You'ld blame yourself and feel guilty. So please tell before something does happen.
Reply:here is what you should do

get lk a watergun and wait for them 2 come back and ambush them

seriusly
Reply:Your neighbors entrusted their house to you for safe custody. I feel you must report this to both your neighbors and the children's parents. No one is supposed to trespass on others property. This is wrong. If you report ,you are just being a law abiding citizen. You will help these boys and girls to go on the right path. Remember from little acorns grow mighty oaks.
Reply:if ur looking after the house u should be looking after the pool too. i think u should have some fun with this, if they are continuing to do this, then go sit outside where they won't see u and when they show up ask them what the he|| they think they are doing....or something to that affect, scare them or something lol
Reply:I suggest you let it go this time, if you caught them next time, tell their parents and the neighbors.
Reply:dont tell but. yes threatin them that always scared the s*it out of me
Reply:dont say anytihng to the parents just yet...but i would tell you neighbors cuz its entering private property...and if you see those little son of ********* es...tell them get get out if not call the police right away.
