Do teen magazines tell teens what movies they should go and see. If so is that why the movies gross so much money?

Yes. Most people are Advertising Driven. That why now at many Gas Stations when you pump gas the LED selling you things. Say you just want Gas, but, "40 0z. Coke; .99" Scroll across and you think; "Hey, that a good deal"! Same with movies or anything. The Advertising and how it is presented, "Sell the Show". ;-p

Reply:Yes, I think magazines influence more that what movie to see. They influence your fashion sense or just your appearance, they type of music you might like, they can even influence what you eat. Magazines show an "image" of what is right or hip in society, so teens are persuaded into conforming into society's needs.
Reply:it is called target marketing. movies advertise in teen magazines. teen mags interview teen idols. same with any age group, ethnicity, etc.And teens have a lot of disposable income which they spend quickly to follow what is cool. easy money.
