Teens these days????

ok well im a teen myself but teens these days seem to care about the stupidest things like does he like or does she like me how popular i am or who i hang with omg!! most are just in middle school ur suppose to care about ur future and grades and education no wonder were getting less doctors and more people working in wallgreens .....Dont u agree? and plz keep ur bad comments about my comment to ur selfs

IN 10 YEARS it won't matter if you were the most popular kid in school or the biggest nerd!!!


I totally agree- what matters is that your happy with your friends and that you don't have to change who you are to fit it. If you waste your time worrying about what people think about you, you will never go anywhere!


The kids who are smart enough to focus on their education (which is what your parents TAX money is paying for) go places...





I can tell by the voting that most people here don't agree with her but she's totally right.


So laugh all you want at the nerd, or don't be friends with that girl because she's not popular, but those people tend to be more successful later in life....


Waste your time talking on the phone with the "cool" people and not study- later in life when you don't get the job you wanted or into the college of your choice, you only have yourself to blame....

Reply:I think we balance really. I'm a teen myself, and yes, we should focus on our grades so we will have a better future, but we are young and we should be social and spend time with friends and family as well. =)

Um, you don't realize that teens have pretty much always cared about this? It's PEER PRESSURE. You should have learned about this in health class. It's always existed. Humans in general, usually have a need to fit in. For teens, this is very important. Our hormones are going crazy.

Reply:kids these days are not focused on the future, they are focused on themselves and what everyone around them are doing, and wearing, and i applaud you for not being so simple minded as your fellow teens are. If more parents would get involved with their children, and teach them about morals and self respect, then maybe we would not have sure a carefree generation, where they could not careless about tomorrow and their goals for their lives.

Reply:I totally agree. It's just that sometimes you subconsciously do it. It's just a part of maturing. Grades are my number one priority followed by family then friends. But sometimes it's just fun to be a kind and do that stupid "Does he/she like me?/Popularity(not for me but for others)". You'll see even you do it sometimes. Enjoy being young like I am.
