Can children/ teens really choose to be anarchists?

I'm 15 years old, and I'm very much tired of those other teens who say that they dont believe in the government or authority, but ironicly go to school, use facilities, and take part in events sponsored by the city and its government bodies. So i wanted to know, can children and teens really become anarchists? And i'm not even sure if thats the correct term: "anarchists". But I highly doubt that all if not virtually all know the whole principle of anarchy more than they do the fad of their friends in believing a certain way to fit in.

So the basis of the question is : Can teens really be anarchists though most dont understand the principle? Where can they get the ideas of anarchy? Am i being closed minded to ideas that dont seem morally right? Can someone define the general idea of anarchy (because when i ask them what anarchy means, they just say that they dont like government or authority in general)?

Can children/ teens really choose to be anarchists?
Rebellious is a better word, but your friends want a term which is broader and more high minded. You've described behavior that's more representative of an adolescent stage than a political philosophy.

Both you and your friends are showing signs that you're thinking critically, evaluating what you've been told, and that's good. If I were you I'd leave them to their definition, and if you stay friends you call laugh about how they were all "anarchists" at 15, and you were righteous or whatever they've labeled you.
Reply:Their behavior sounds normal for teenagers.

You worry too much.
Reply:Unless they are for absolutely no government, killings without punishment, looting, absolute chaos, unjustice, wars sprouting out everywhere, I don't think they truly understand what supporting anarchy is all about - but then again, everyone can 'decide' to be what they want to be. They just don't realize they're under false titles.
Reply:Im 18, and I feel the same way. Im a very liberal person politically, but im also sick to hell of teenagers who think they know what theyre talking about and mindlessly bash mainstream politics, leaders, media, etc. Nothings perfect, but saying "lets rebel" is just immature.
