Are today's teens the new hippies?

Today's teens are tree huggers, accepting of others of all lifestyles, tolerant, have drug addictions, have sex all the time, are against the war in Iraq, and are very liberal.





I kinda stereotyped all teens into one description to make an impression... I am one by the way, and I know all teens aren't like this, and I'm not saying how I feel about it till I choose best answer.

I wish I was a hippie. But you also forgot that teens are also in gangs, start random stupid fights over boys and do more mindless things. Most have no sense of peace. I should know, I have to bear it every day. Teens are stupid. Apparently, I can't listen to a certain type of music because I don't "look the part". psh

Reply:People call me a hippie- and I am not a teen. I don't go around having sex with everyone all of the time- just my husband. I do believe in doing what is right by my fellow man and taking care of our earth- it is the only true thing we leave to our children- I also believe in tolerance and denounce hate- but I am not a college or high school age kid- but I have children who are in high school... I am just me!
Reply:I think your describing college students, teens are still stuck in thier parents mode of thinking until they strike out on thier own.
Reply:no i don't. it pisses me off that people say teens now a days have sex "all the time" of course, there are sluts. but when weren't there sluts? i mean really. it just wasn't talked about or in the media, girls still got stds back then.
