Are the TEENS being treated unfairly. ?

Is the new law about the one year minor driver's licence extension unfair. The new law passed in 2006 ( @ least in California ) about teens not being able to drive other minors around for a whole year instead of six months too harsh on the kids . Is it unfair that teens who got their license only 1 year before "enjoyed" the priviledge of "restriction" only for 6 months, but the ones who get their license this year have more severe restictions. Are the teens just getting more reckless .But isnt it unfair to restrict everyone for the mistakes a few make.Give your reasons for why or why not .

Are the TEENS being treated unfairly. ?
1. First lesson of adulthood: life is not fair.

2. Teens have had a tendency to drive around in cars filled with other teens acting irresponsibly. This will hopefully curb some of that activity.

3. I have little or no sympathy for your plight; I had to wait until age 21 to drink when some of my friends managed to legally do so at 18 before the law changed.
Reply:No the new law is not unfair to teens. The old law was unfair to other drivers and if the teens that were allowed to drive unrestricted after only six months had shown more maturity and a better record for driving, then no one would have thought to change the law.
Reply:WHO CARES???

lol (im a teen n i realy dodnt care)
Reply:ok..i am a teen who just got their license about 9 months ago, and the law is 6 months where i live, but nobody...and i mena nobody (i actually tried to find someone) obeys the 6 months rule. I mean a police officer cant pull u over a b like u look 16 and 5 months old....so i really do not think the law does anything. If a teen really wants to drive with their friends they are. And if anything it will mkae them more caucious because they do not want to get pulled over for speeding and having passengers. So the short answer, no the rule is not unfair, it doesnt matter how long you make them wait, teens are still going to break it.
