For pre teens and teens only.?

pre teens and teen yrs are the years headed towards adulthood.inspite of that alot of adults consider teens as children when theyre arent children anymore.im 32 now,but i remember when i turned 13 i thought i get more respect, but i was still considered a kid at 13,14,15,16 and 17.i tell you it made me so mad because the lifespan is infant, toddler, child and then teenager.so overall teenagers arent children if anything theyre more like adults.adults need to realize they were this age once and put themselves in the youth shoes.

For pre teens and teens only.?
i like you
Reply:i like you 2! i know my mom still treats me like im 10..
Reply:I am 19 years old and I unfortunately know way to many teenagers to completely agree or disagree with your comment... I think that some kids are more mature than others but I more firmly believe that because of synaptogensis and nuerological pathways that are still being instilled into a child or teenager's brain and body adolescents need guidance, rules, and respect. I think that as parents people need to give their children space to grow and develop and make their own decisions but I also think that many teens; especially on the lower end are disrespectful and don't deserve respect from parents, gaurdians, or even other teens...
Reply:I am 17 and about to have my own child, and some people still treat me like one. That is funny. I just ignore them. *Jessi*
Reply:I really would like to have u as a parent seriously, if you have children i envy them for having a parents that has realized this. The worls would be much better if there were more parents like u.
Reply:I WISH YOU WERE MY DAD! lol

my parents are very very very strict

and im responsible but they still treat me

like my 11 year old sister!!
Reply:Ya but thats never gonna change.
Reply:thank you for being the very 1st adult on Earth to realize this. I dont think you are a kid anymore after 14 or 15. Some adults dont see the difference between a 15 year old teen and a 9 year old kid. I thinks some are too irresponsible and immature to be treated like adults, but others are victims of adults seeing all teens as "mistfits and vandals that cause nothing but trouble". adults stereotype us based only on our age way too much. every time I walk into a store without a parent all the employees stare at me like they expect me to rob the place or shoplift. and what I dont understand is that there are tons of adults much worse than "the bad teenagers" all the adults seem to believe every person between 13 and 18 is, and they dont seem to realize teenagers are all judged based on the actions of a tiny minority
Reply:Unless you have two teens running around, I don't know how you can think, teens at 13 to 17 years old should be treated like an adult. Have you seen what antics they pull and the pregnancies that happen at such an early age. If anything these teens see themselves as adults and act accordingly with no adult supervision. If parents would stop letting them do whatever they want, there would be no pregnancies, no beatings, no robberies, no under age drugs/alcohol etc.

I have two teens 15 and 17yrs old and I remember growing up (it wasn't that long ago), I treat them like adults for the most part but rules are still placed. They can do a lot of things but they have ask first, before they go anywhere. I have to know, who they are with, what they are doing and when they'll be back, only then are they allowed. Trust was there but one two many times the one teen, broke the trust and broke my heart. She was considered to be adult material, until the stupid things she did, made us realize she has a lot of growing up to do. She had to do a lot of soul searching to understand, her actions were childish and dangerous.

I suggest you wait until you have two teens, perhaps only then will your comments be taken seriously. Good luck.
Reply:i like you too! :)
Reply:Teenagers should be treated like teenagers. They should not be treated like children because they aren't children anymore. They should not be treated like adults either, because they aren't adults yet.
Reply:You're 32?? I find that very hard to believe. Sorry but 13, 14, 15 ,16 year olds are not adults. At those ages, kids are still growing and maturing.
Reply:If we acted more like adults, which we aren't,,,,,maybe we'd get treated more so....we are still young, we have our whole lives to be grown up....enjoy being young!!!
Reply:i agree with that because im 15 and get treated like im a child. i thought i was the only one who felt like that but i guess not.
Reply:Totally right! I'm actually 21 so not too long out of the teens! It so used to annoy me. And the line that bugged me the most was stop acting like a child! If you didn't treat me like a child and gave me some respect as a teenager maybe I would stop acting like a child. And also everthing you said or every opinion you gave was discounted as meaningless because you were only young and still a child! Do they know how that feels! Like you said, they must do as they were there once too! Why don't they ever remember that?!
Reply:because we are still kids. we haven't experience much. like paying bills, taxes, etc.
Reply:amen to that!

especially because some adults still act like they are 5 years old.
Reply:your cool, i like you, but what was the question?
Reply:13 or 18 you should be treated repectfully, not like a kid or an adult, you need to make mistakes n learn from them throughout life,
Reply:u are so right
Reply:Wow.. do you have children??
