Outside of the classroom, I mean. Taking a philosophy course doesn't make you the next Hegel, and neither does memorising the Philosophers' Drinking Song.
But are there any teens out there with a real interest in any branch of philosophy, from existentialism to epistemology to postmodernism? Because it seems like I am the only one.
If you are a teen interested in philosophy, would you please tell me what sort of philosophy you're interested in, and any other sort of thing you'd like to say? Thanks.
Teens: Do you dig philosophy?
I think about one question.
Why?
Why are we here?
Why are you asking this question?
Why am I answering this with a bunch of questions?
Reply:I don't see how some of us have time for extracarricular things, such as philosophy, sports, internship and others. I think if maybe I were exposed to philosophy a bit more I would develop an interest, but I can't really say.
Reply:i am not a teen but 22 but i love philosophy dearly. i read books on Kant, Descarteols as well as others.
Reply:well.
there are times when I think about existence, I've taken philosophy based classes and I loved them,
I haven't gotten into it heavily, but I would like too!
Reply:Im a biology major but I chose it for philosophical reasons. I loved my philosophy class but I cant say that philosohpy is my only interest. While it deals with the self, I want it to relate to everyday world (sociology) and so my interest should rather be called, interest in the Human Race.
