Why do many teens feel they are superior to adults and should dominate their lives & take over?

Let's face it, us teens can do everything you adults can do, from creating other youth to running a select few of other adults, like our parents. We should be the ones dictating how our country is being run, after all, its ours now (to some adults, it will be ours in the future). We have our own cultures, our own music, sports, and many other things too numerous to mention here. We give adults our business when we buy things, we support our schools by attending so adults can make money off us in the way of earning a salary, getting money to run the schools, etc. if it wasn't for us teens being born (actually means created), adults wouldn't have anything to brag about to other adults. What if a time comes when teens have no further need for adults? Aren't many adults just holding teens back from their full potential? Aren't the adults just in the way? What's your opinion on this matter? P.S. This is not MY thoughts against adults.

Why do many teens feel they are superior to adults and should dominate their lives %26amp; take over?
You are partially right, your brain works much faster than an adult brain works...

But you still don't have the experience and wisdom to keep out of trouble...

Get rid of all adults... hmmm... they made a movie about somehing like that... you may have read it in school... oh.. wait.. no... they don't make you read any really good books anymore... just let you pick out your own contemporary junk books ...

You should read "Lord of the Flies"
Reply:That's when adults need to take a rolled up newspaper to you and with a firm voice say "NO! NO!"
Reply:Anyone who actually believes that needs to grow up, as it is just pathetic teenage rebelliousness. Hahaha I can only imagine what this country would be like if run by teenagers. Hillary Duff would probably be your president.
Reply:Ask me that in another 20 years.
Reply:I dont know what gives with you teens. I have yet to see any making rational decisions. I have a teen and i to be on guard because some of the things that he wants to do are so impulsive. I dont know if youve heard but scientists have said that a teen brain does not mature until around 21 years of age.
Reply:To put it simply...The arrogance of youth

Are you sure you Know more about life than I
Reply:They were never taught respect by their parents and are acting out like any young animals will.
Reply:In short me coming out of my teens I am 25 with children of my own now. Teenagers could know just about everything that adults do but they lack life experence. The smarts part is only half the battle. Take for instance that it dosent matter how many times a teenager can be told of whats going to happen if they are doing somthing that they shouldn't be doing. they are going to do it anyway. hence a life lesson is learned. irresponsible actions teens do not have anything to loose for say. they dont buy it or its not their money that bought it. so why would they care. People are alot more careful when its their own money that bought for their things that if someone else buys it. But either way There will always be a need for adults. Parents dont try to ruin their kids lives they try to guide them by bestowing their life lessons that were hard on them so that their children dont have to go through the same pain that they had already went through. I dont know if Im making any sense here I am just touching on some key points and that when you get older you WILL appreciate what your parents did for you
