Do most teens act like they're adults?

I mean, I'm 19 and sometimes I feel like I'm 39, with no kids (thankfully) or a girlfriend. I fell like I'm old.

And most girls under 18 (and I've noticed) feel like they're adults by making kids and somewhat rushing into adulthood.

Do most teens act like adults or want to rush into adulthood, and do most teens not know what they want in life when they get older?

PS: I'm moving from my teen years, and I know who I am and what I want and don't want.

Do most teens act like they're adults?
Absolutely. Especially this generation... kids and teenagers are trying to be older than they are much more quickly. I mean, I'm still a college student, so I don't want to diss my generation or anything.. but the other day, I saw 12 YEAR OLDS wearing makeup and halter tops.
Reply:Generations are going by to fast, it used to be amazing if you had a great-grandmother alive but know people have like great-great-great-grandmothers alive because of teenage pregnancies and stuff. Personally I want to be independent for at least a couple of years, and I want to travel and have a good University education. I am fourteen years old and haven't even got my first kiss yet, moving slow and loving it! =D
Reply:its all about the maturity of the teenager.

everybody makes mistakes,even adults.

some teenagers are mature but the ones

who arent keep ruining our reputation D=

but it took you your teenage years to find

out what you want to do right? so let other

younger teenagers figure that out, some may

find it out earlier than others.
Reply:I think so. As a teen you feel ready for your independence. I felt that way in my teens. But then I don't think we realize what it really takes to be an adult. But then again, some people are more mature depending on how they were brought up and the life they live.
Reply:well we all want to be older because we have this perfect image of freedom...but i know in my head that it is not.

i want to grow up but im not going to go have a baby because of it....I'll just get a part time job and get a glimpse of the real world
Reply:It all depends on the individual. In my opinion, it is what we do and experience that really influences are maturity, not simply how long we've lived. Most teenagers are not as mature as you sound, in my opinion.
Reply:IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE PERSON. I'VE SEEN KIDS CARELESSLY HAVE SEX WITH WHOEVER OR GO OUT ALMOST EVERY SINGLE NOGHT AND THEN THEY WONDER WHY THEY DO BAD IN SCHOOL. SOME TEENS HAVE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH THINGS WHERE THEY CAN FIGURE OUT THE CONSEQUENCES AND WHAT NOT.
Reply:is is what ever you fill like because if your parents tell you what they think then it will be wrong if a child tells you thenmost of the time a teen would belive another teen it just depends on the person relli
Reply:Well i think they are doing just that, pretending. It is easy to be an "adult" when you have no bills, no children, and no responsibilities.
Reply:I believe that in every situation teens act differently. For example, one wouldnt act immature at a formal occasion, but they might at the carnival or something.
Reply:I don't!

I'd rather be a kiddo all my life %26amp;%26amp; bounce around %26amp;%26amp; be hyperr. I can't stand babies %26amp;%26amp; don't understand why everyone wants them.
Reply:i realized that to why grow up when your an adult you have to worry about things when you a kid its all good
Reply:yes and no
