I know a lot of teens out there play it off like their pregnancy was an accident even though they planned it . That was how it was with my friend. Her and her boyfriend planned to have a baby at 16 and she is very happy now even though the boyfriend isnt around as much as she thought he would be he still is supportive and has a job to help pay for things. The baby is also very healthy and beautiful. I also found out that a couple of my other friends also planned their teen pregnancies...can some teen moms explain to me why they decided to have a baby and did things work out as planned and even if they didnt are they still happy and happy with their decision. I also want to know if having a child turned out to be as hard as they thought it would be or harder and if they would sudgest having a baby as a teen
Why do teens plan their pregnancy and are they happy with their decision?
I'll tell you exactly why.
1. Her BF is about to break up with her, so she gets pregnant because she thinks that will make him stay or love her.
2. They have very low self esteem and have issues and they think a baby will be the answer because it's hers, and it's some to love and love her back
3. Plain stupid and need to be locked up.
Reply:I had my son at 19. The father and i planned it. We are married. We wanted to start a family. It hasnt been the easiest thing in the world but ive done harder. My husband has a great job as a federal police officer and in the national gaurd so im able to stay home with our son. Were happy.
Reply:I am 16 years old and my son just turned a month old...me and his father have been together for 2years....i wish we would have waited till we had our own place because living at my house cause problems with his mom...I dont know why I decided to have a baby at 16 and i wish i would have waited but i love my son and i wouldnt trade him for anything in this world...and i dont regret having him either....me and his father's relationship is greater than ever!
Reply:maybe its they just want to escape, and start a new life? in my case, it really was an accident, but i was so much happier once i got pregnant, moved into my bf's apartment. we got married and my relationship with my parents were great after that (when living with them was a nightmare).
so like i said, maybe teens just want a reason to start over a new life.
for your last question. i was 16 when i got pregnant, and being a teen mom was not hard! i didn't plan the pregnancy but everything has been great w/ my husband and our daughter.
Reply:I am 17, and I got pregnant at 16. I planned my pregnancy with the father. Things have worked out perfectly. Not long after we found out that we were going to have a family of our own we got married. Now, yes some things are hard(er), but it would of been the same way even if we would have waited. After I found out, my grades went way up, and now I work full time for Caterpillar Inc. Once again I am only 17. I would have to say that teenage pregnancy is only bad if the teens make it bad, and it will only **** up your life if you let it. My grandma though my life was ruined until she saw my grades, and saw that I work for a major company now. I used it to my benifit. Being a teen and pregnant turned my life around for the better! I am going to have my baby in about 2 weeks and I am so glad I did this. I wouldn't change it for the world. ANd her father and I are very happy together! HOpe this helps answer your question...at least in this point of view!
Reply:it depends on the person. teens should not have children because there is so much to learn and experience, its much easier without baggage, but it is possible to be a mother as a teen, but you have to grow up mentally.
