Teens: do you think that gay has really become the new black?

Haha, I def think so. And ya know, thats reaaally sad.

I do think that many teens nowadays are a bit more accepting. There are those few that are like "OMFMFGG I HATE GAYS RAAAH" lmao, but yah..

I myself am STRAIGHTT but, I certainly can accept and respect the fact that someone is into something else, and I def believe that they should have the same opportunities as I do. I mean, how could I tell someone that just because they don't like men that they aren't allowed to do something that I am? Being straight doesn't make me any better than them!!

So: I wanna know what your take is on the whole "gay marriage" and your thoughts on gay people. Like..do you think gay ppl CHOOSE to be gay (which is a retarded theory, because with all the sh!t that comes along with it..why would anyone want to go through that?) or what? Why are people so discriminating? How long do you think it'll take for gays to be where blacks are now? Pour your hearts out: I wanna know what other teens think!!

Teens: do you think that gay has really become the new black?
The argument will always be there but things are surely getting better.

If I hear another thumb sucking, barely off breast milk, attention craving teen, claiming to be gay one more time...I'm going to scream!

It's getting ridiculous, and a bit scary. It's people like this who make the "born gay" topic so controversial.

I had several instances where i knew Posers who were only claiming it for the attention. It's not cute.

I'm so glad to be out of high school and away from all that...

But really people today are much more excepting but it will take at least another decade for people of the Gay community to get their rights.
Reply:Yes, it is. I personally don't see anything wrong with it. It is just a way of lifestyle. My best friend is gay, and my uncle is gay, too. I think that it is a decision that everyone makes personally, and other than that, it is nobody else's business. As long as you are a nice person, I don't care what your sexuality is.

EDIT: Gays are NOT born gay! They are born with a tendency in their mind, and their tendecy I guess is that they want to marry people of the same sex. Then later in life they either choose if they want to go with that tendency or not. The strong ones do, and the weak ones don't. I think that gays are the nicest, most outgoing, fun people I know.
Reply:hmm.... idk
Reply:I believe that people are born gay, they don't have a choice. I admire anyone who honestly "comes out" because so many people hide their true sexuality in order to fit in, leading a life of lies.

I know a man who has always known that he's gay, but he has a wife and children to pose as a "normal guy". He hasn't ever acted on his homosexuality and is a very unhappy guy inside. I feel sorry for him.

A few of my guy friends are gay, I have no problem with that. I think that gay marriage should be legal in all states. What's so bad about being who you are? Making it illegal is like suppressing a human being from living an equal life as straight people have. That is NOT fair!

Some people are discriminating just because they are. If someone is different, it scares them so they attack, either verbally or physically. They take their insecurities out on people who are different from themselves. Sad, huh?

I don't know about the whole gay black thing. Hmmm. What about the people who are gay AND black? There will always be people discriminating against both of these groups, no matter what. There will also always be people who accept these groups. It's just the way the world spins.

Thanks for asking this question, it really made me think.

Good luck! :)
Reply:Yuh im not big on gays but someone in my family is sooo... im not up to liberty to discuss this
Reply:Hmmm, I think that a lot of people just aren't used to lifestyles that don't fit into the idea of Christianity. The church, or God, has set forth "rules" for his people, and the Bible openly states that homosexuality is a sin.

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination" (Leviticus 18:22). "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them..."

I was born into the Roman Catholic faith, and I don't dislike it, there are just some parts of the faith that I don't believe, and this is one of them. I think that religion being such an important part of life to so many in the past, and still to this day, definitely has had a huge effect on homosexual intolerance. I think that as time progresses the importance of religious principles deteriorates more and more, as well as a socially accepted principle of what is wrong and what is right. That's not to say that we are turning into a bunch of atheist rebels, but I think that certain morals and ideals have changed; more people are beginning to create their own individual beliefs rather than having them defined by their one particular religion.

Change can be difficult, especially for people who have become accustomed to a certain way of life. It's this change that’s begun, that is causing a lot of hate and ignorance toward the issue. I don't think the Government has been doing a lot to fight intolerance either. I'm really disappointed that they have, or our president has, taken a stance against gay marriages, continue(s) to enforce the "don't ask, don't tell" decree, etc. It seems so ignorant to me.

This is definitely an issue of much public dispute and I agree with you in saying that homosexuals don't choose their sexuality, who would choose to be subject to so much pain and discrimination.

I’m not gay, but I definitely am envious of people who are. They cause so much controversy just being themselves. They challenge commonly accepted gender roles and make people think – make them question what they believe – and react. I like that sort-of thing.

But I also admire anyone who stays true to who they are, even when opposed.

To sum it up, I don’t think gay people should be discriminated against. I believe that they should be given equal opportunity and able to express their love through marriage if they wish to do so. And I certainly don’t think that they have control over who they like. It’s part of who they are, and I personally do not believe that that is a sin.

I think that covers it.

I’m sorry that my answer was so long. I hope it answered your question.
Reply:i see illegal immigrants and gays marching in the streets next.

i kno illegals have nuthin to do with this.

yea i agree with you, im one of those "i could care less what you do in ur free time types." im not against any of that. i think its mean the the govt is trying to stick their noses in peoples lives sayin its immoral. the guys that are for "family values" and married only sex are the same guys found with prostitutes. hypocrites. i dont listen to em
Reply:i agree gays and lesbians are just as equal as straight people. They are people that don't have the same interests as about 90% of the population but that doesn't give people the right to discriminate against them. if you listen to homophobic peoples reasons why gay marriage shouldnt be allowed they dont make sense because there is no reason gay marriage shouldnt be allowed. Hopefully this issue will be short and peaceful i dont want as many unneccessary deaths for something that shouldn't have any argument over anyway.

What happened to American freedom and equality, if the government makes gay marriage illegal that would against ameri.can principles
Reply:I agree with many others, when they say that "gay people are born gay" I don't think they have a choice, and if they did I'm sure they wouldn't choose to be gay. They know how mean people can be. I think gay marriage is totally acceptable, and there is no reason for it to be against the law. What do we care if gay people are married? I don't think it will affect straight people what so ever.

I have an uncle that is gay, he and his partner live in the same apartment and they both wear wedding rings, which I think is great for them.
Reply:Um.....No. I mean, sure whatever people can be gay but I don't think it's the new fad or anything. It's not exactly what I'd call 'cool.' Being gay isn't like a fashion statement or anything; it's what you are. I'm straight tho.

Gay marriage: I can't exactly see myself marrying a person of the same sex. I mean, if they're into that kinda stuff, go ahead. It's just not my thing.

It doesn't matter if we're gay. You can't tell me that a man wants to date every single man in the world. They want a man who meets their standards. But what if the person is a woman? Oh gosh, I'm confusing myself. What I'm trying to say is that I believe there's no such thing as gay or straight. I believe everyone wants someone, whether woman or man. Me, I want a man.

Oh and another thing. I think it's unfair to people who are straight because now gays are starting their own organizations and getting free days where they can get into places for free. They don't have anything like that for straight people. If they can have it, what about us?

I think we are focusing way too much on this. Sure, I guess it's an important topic but there's also foster care, minimum wage, and other stuff to worry about.
Reply:uhm I think gay people do choose to be that way what u think there born like that. That god made them gay lol. Peopl discriminate against them because its strange seeing 2 men together or 2 girls together and it will probably never be accepted. But yea thats there choice to live how ever they want to live they do have rights as well so I do accept them
Reply:i dont think so...gays get treated way more than blacks unfortunately...but whites treat everyone bad so it really doesnt matter
Reply:I'm not a teen, but that is VERY twisted thinking.

It is EXACTLY what The Homosexual Agenda has been pushing, with much propaganda.

A homosexual (or so-called "gay") is a person who practices a BEHAVIOR and that person can ALSO BE BLACK. A person who practices a BEHAVIOR is not like a person of an actual, legitimate race.

Blacks everywhere should be outraged and should be marching in the streets against this affront to their race. The homosexuals are USING THEM to jump on the race bandwagon in their quest for special rights and to gain an elite minority status.
Reply:I am going to ignore your borderline racist comments , because you are young and inexperienced, but I was born black. I am sorry, but I do not believe people are born gay. I am not homophobic, but I hate when people try legimatize their homosexuality by acting as if its a medical condition. I am not a teen, but I am appauled that you can make them look so bad. I suggest you grow up and experience life a bit more before hatching this half hearted notions and theories, and watch your mouth. Racism is for trolls, and We hate trollls( meaning all people).
Reply:I don't know
Reply:haha....gay ppl r cool...my bestfriend is gay....i luv going shopping with him!!lol
Reply:Black has more discrimination than Gays sorry, not in the same boat and category. The Prison population is mostly black, and for non-violent crimes such as "drugs". Until I see a prison full of Homosexuals, then I think you can talk about discrimination. Until then keep your mouth shut. Gays don't have to worry about being pulled over by Cops for being "Gay".
