Reply:1) Because the media has portrayed sex in everything. This world in general (not everyone individually) has no morals. Also, children %26amp; teens learn from example. 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, you name it...have sex before they are married.





2) Usually the grandparents of the baby..depending on the age of the baby's parents.





3) Fear of the unknown, fear of having a baby, fear of getting in trouble by their parents, etc.

Reply:Each teen's situation is different...teens have premarital sex because they want to. A lot of people [regardless of age] have premarital sex...don't act like teens are the only ones who do. But the girl's pregnancy could be a result of rape or failed birth control.





A smart girl would get a job and have some help from her family. But some girls take the easy way out and get on welfare or some other form of government assistance. A lot of teens who don't tell anyone are scared and fear disappointment and disapproval from family.





Whether she continues school or not depends entirely on her unique situation...if she goes to a school with daycare/can afford daycare, then she may very well finish high school and may even try for college. But if she doesn't have anyone to watch her baby and cannot afford daycare, she'd obviously drop out and may [or may not] get her GED once her baby starts school. I don't know any sites that focus on things like this...google whatever you're looking for and you'll find something.





I got pregnant at 14 but had an abortion [don't judge me, I was forced to have it]...but I know so many teen mothers. I hope to have a baby next year though. =]

Reply:I'm going to answer some of your questions according to my experience, the rest I won't answer. I'm a 14 year old teen and I'm pregnant.





1. I had sex for the experience and I wasn't happy with life and I was upset with life and I love bikes and I love doing risky things and if I died I didn't want to die a virgin and I didn't have friends.





2. The baby's daddy and I are together and happy. But I know a girl who was pregnant at 17 I think and the father left her when she was 8 months and shes doing just fine the father pays monthly.





3. I told my boyfriend and my mother that I was possibly pregnant and my mom bought me a pregnancy test and they obviously knew the results. I don't have any friends so my family are the only ones that know and my boyfriends parents. I'll tell everyone else soon. I first wanted to see that the baby was healthy





4. I do homeschooling because I hate those people and I have a social phobia. My sisters friend left for a year then went to college.

Reply:1. Why? Because it feels good and either nobody taught them reasons not to or they rebelled against those who said don't. Feeling like you're in love and connected with somebody sometimes seems like the thing to do when you're a teenager and not sure where you belong.

-%26gt;Some because of peer pressure. Some think they are ready. Some love their boyfriend or girlfriend and are ready to take that responsibility.

-%26gt;She can get help from her parents or maybe even grandparents. If they don't want to help their are all kinds of shelters and hotlines that will help out. They can put their child in day care and get a job. Or they can choose to put their baby up for adoption

-%26gt;Every teen is different. Some decide to drop out of school and get a full time job. Others get a part time job and stay in school and others get a lot of help from their parents and stay really focused on school.


I go to a continuation school (for grades not a baby) and it has a free day care where the moms can drop off their babies before class and see them at lunch and stuff. They also offer free parenting classes. %26amp;%26amp; the pregnant girls get to have their lunch before everyone else =/

Reply:Well first if you have not been there you can't possibly understand. I was 15 when I got pregnant. I thought I was in love and even thought I was having unprotected sex with my boyfriend at the time I was what everyone forgets a KID and thought I knew it all. I am now 25 and my daughter will be 9 in 2 months. I was married to her father and so divorced I continued to go to school and yes life is hard but even harder as a single parent. I have been married to my second husband for about 8yrs. and have no regrets about my daughter I have raised her the best I could she is in 3rd grade and is GT and top of her class. You don't drop out of school WHY? Cause that is what is expected of you. You do go to collage and you succeed with life. I am 25 and am now getting ready to extend my family. I have learned alot along the way and hope that no one will ever think that because you get pregnant at a young age that nothing can be done because it can.

I strongly disagree with those saying you will have a brutally hard life. It's really not as bad as people make it out to be. When you have your baby you want to do things for he/she. My baby is the best thing that has ever happened to me and she has inspired me and my partner to better our lives. She gave us something to work for. Now we both have our own successful business's. I dont encourage falling pregnant as a teen, I'm just saying that if you do it's not the worst thing in the world. And you'd be suprised how supportive even the most rigid parents are.

Reply:You can't genrelise, everbody is different. They deal with pregnancy and motherhood differently. Some teen mums cope well, some don't. Some stay in school, some don't.

Reply:1. Pregnant teens have sex before they are married because they aren't thinking, they are following their hormonal impulses to have sex. Abstinence is the only 100% reliable birth control method and I recommend it strongly to all teenagers. It worked for me.





2. If the baby's father isn't around the mother becomes a single mother struggling (often for the rest of her life) financially and to provide the basic necessities for her child. Especially if the mother hasn't even earned her High School Diploma yet. Most 2 parent, happily married couples struggle financially even with Bachelor's degrees in the present economy once they bring children into the world. Don't have sex until you are married and you eliminate the possiblity of this heartbreak, of bringing a child into the world alone to an uneducated and unprepared mother.





3. Pregnant teenagers are afraid of judgement, ridicule and are plain scared. They don't know where to turn for help. They do not understand what is happening or how to get help.





4. When a pregnant teen has a baby they often drop out if the school doesn't offer free childcare during school hours for teen mom's babies. Unless you have an unusually understanding and kind SAHM (stay at home mom) who can watch the baby 24/7 finishing school will be impossible.





5.Google for websites on unplanned pregnancy. I recommend Planned Parenthood, which is always big on prevention and birth control education. They also offer free or low cost abortions.





6. I am nearly 30 and pregnant with baby #3. Happily married for 7 years. I recommend abstinence, finishing your education including college, finding that special someone, marriage, then settling down to have a baby.





Children shouldn't have children. Teenagers have so much potential and its a shame to waste that becoming a Mom at such an early age. It limits your possiblities and makes for a brutally hard life. Be smart and stay in school. Just say "no" to sex before marriage. Wait for the right guy. If he's the right one, he'll wait happily for sex until he marries you. Sex is a gift that deserves a lifetime of love and comittment in return. Don't squander that on some pimply faced teenage boy who can't appreciate it. Wait until you are an adult and you can find a real man to marry you first, then you make love. That's what I was taught and I have a beautiful romance with my husband of seven years. Please listen. It could change your life!
