Why do teens want "reaction" from older people?

Why do teens want "reactions" from older people like their parents and grandparents?





One reason I could think of to why teens follow trends, is that they basically want to annoy or 'piss' their parents off, by wearing miniskirt, making tattoos and other stuff. But why do they do it? Is it because they want independance?





I mean, the main reason why my friends open rock music so lound, is because they wanna annoy their parents. But I don't know why, I could only think of two reasons:


1) They want their parents to think "Fine, if like those pop star, go listen to them, but don't listen to rock." Basically, they just want to let them choose between the the "nonsence" POP or the "unbareable" ROCK.


2) It's just for the sake of opening it and annoying their parents, cause their moms did it to them with her music first.





But I need more DEEPER reasons ASAP please!! I mean, why annoy them? I want it in Teenagers point of veiw, Parent's P.O.V is fine, but teens first.

well, i've been a teenager too.. and i did some 'rebel acts' not to annoyed my parents or something..


* sometimes i just wanted to grab their attentions..


* sometimes i just wanted to prove that i could be someone that they'd be proud of in my own way, not with the ways they told me to..


* or mybe it's just a phase of 'identity searching'





and if the parents started to 'annoy' in the first place.. well mybe ur friend just wanted to said (implicitly) :


'don't do what u did if u don't like me to do the same way you did to me'

I don't think we follow trends to annoy anyone or anything, we just do it to differentiate ourselves from other age groups,





are u a teenager, surely if u are then u can understand this.
Reply:Teens first ? You have got to be kidding me . Music to loud? Come on girl get with it I'm 52 and we started the loud rock ,the louder the better . Unbearable? Are you kidding me its the greatest music in the world. And tattoos well we don't care if they have one big tattoo covering there butt its there butt let them do what they want to to it . I solute the new teen generation there carrying on where grandpa left off there free and they know it . There not like the 30 some year old that are materialistic followers of a system bound for no where .





If you ask me the young teens ROCK . I have two sets of kids one set is in there 30 something and the other is 16 and under . The 30 somethings act like my parents go to war, kill ,get your hair cut, do as i tell you not whats right, tow the line, follow orders right or wrong, so your killing the planet just do it . Well my hats off to the young teens there not going to take it anymore its there life so get off there butt they are the ones that are going to have to live on this screwed up world that we are leaving for them so play your music as loud as you please be herd save the planet.
