Is there a place for gay teens in Houston?

To meet each other, and talk and stuff? You know, a safe place?





I'm not gay or anything. It's just that my friend came out the other day, and he wants to know if there's places for gay teens like him. The ones that prefer to keep their sexuality a secret, but they still want to meet other gay teens like them.





So is there a place that local gay teens can meet in a community, without worry about being found out? I'm looking for one here in Houston. Does anyone know of a place? It's strictly for gay teens meeting other gay teens. I can't help but feel sad for my buddy, even if he is gay.





Or is there an online site for gay teens to meet other gay teens? Anything would help.

Reply:I dont know the number or even thier address but you could look it up....it is H.A.T.C.H.....it is a Houston area teen coalition...it is solely for teens.
Reply:Most gay meetings are not held in the closet so it could be a little hard to keep it a strict secret.





Im curious about your wording.. you say you cant help feeling sad for him even if he is gay... what does that mean?

Come on, hon. Dont feel sad for him. Instead be happy for him. If you cant be happy for him .... just BE for him. You have no idea what kind a weight it can be keeping it secret. Do you know how many teen aged gays kill themselves because they cant take the pressure? Parental AND peer. Be his FRIEND. Thats all he wants. Thats all he needs.


Youre doing a good thing here... knowledge is everything.
