Why are teens so violent?

And the parent sometimes get a kick out of it. I have seen numerous reports of a group of teens beating on one teen. In one incident there were two teens fight on the bus and the bus driver pulled the bus over to a school bus stop and did nothing. The teen who started the fight was getting her *** wiped. A parent got on the bus and saw that her daughter was getting her *** wiped. So, instead of her stopping the fight she got in the fight and start beating the other teen. And told her daughter now that how you do it. Now, since it was recorded the parent is serving time in jail. What is wrong with these so called parents? Do they think at all? Do they think they are invincible?

Why are teens so violent?
A good part of it is not being taught the proper way to handle themselves when they are angry or upset. Parents who took no time to let them know how to appropriately handle themselves in all situations most likely don't handle things well themselves and react out of anger. I think the teenager should have served jail time right along with the parent. The parent should have yanked their teen off the bus by the ear and given them an ear full on how wrong they know it is to be violent like that. These so called parents were never ready to have children to begin with and still act like children themselves.
Reply:yea.

with movies and music these days this world is going to hell.

i hate technology.

its lame.

and i hate teens.

they need to go outside and get a hobby.
Reply:ill tell ya whats wrong... its becasue all thes parents listen to these "new age" parenting methods that are not at all effective for raising children.... its all about letting them have self expression and letting them speak up or whatever... they have no boundries! and then those parents who swear by these methods wonder where they went wrong... hello! you need discipline!

zaza: so, you really think that this new style of parenting that is taking over has nothing to do with it?? i have to strongly disagree with that... sure some parents are lazy and lack discipline skills. but lately children are more disrespectful and more unruly than ever... i think that when you give a child "choices" or however new wave parenting goes, it totally goes against what you are supposed to be teaching them.....sure, there are choices in life... but when they are small children they dont understand that stuff.. they understandconsequences.. and im sorry, but 2 minutes in a plush "time out" isnt much of a consequence. now parents give the kids too much lee way and the result is rude kids!

i just cant believe its a coincidence that kids are that way since everyone has started jumpin on this new parenting bandwagon.
Reply:parents and the media

hidden fact..did ya know that when Paris Hilton was in jail..she requested a bible.

Media didnt tell ya that did it.

Media is run by the underworld.

And parents could care less lots of them.

And they will be lovers of themselves..Ephesians
Reply:It's all about your upbringing! If you are raised to believe in or accept violence as normal and satisfying, it will become your automatic behavior unless something comes along later in your life to change that childhood programing.

We are all like trained seals in most of our behavior even though we think that we are independent, 'thinking' creatures!
Reply:that is wat teens do for fun. a mother hate to see thier children get hurt so thats why. maybe someone could change their mind.
Reply:It all depends on how they were raised.
Reply:It's not all teens, it's just the ones with the ignorant parents who never taught them any better. Her mother started fighting the child. Where do you think her child got it from? Her.
Reply:Kids today are exposed to violence in the media, in video games, in music, etc. They are de-sensitized and their empathy chip is missing. A very small percentage of children are violent such as you have described.

To the first poster, it has nothing to do with "new age" parenting. In fact it has everything to do with no parenting.
