Teens: why do you have a MySpace?

Seriously, why do most teens think place like myspace, friendster, facebook, etc. are so addicting? I go on facebook, and i used to go on myspace. I used it to keep in touch with some friends who have moved away. But what most teens don't understand is that there are disgusting old men on there who masturbate to girls in there bikinis. But why do teens want to go on, even without permission of their parents?

i go on myspace without my parents permission, im old enough to choose wheither or not i have 1. my parents are trusting of me and i havent given them a reason not to. i have 1 to keep in touch with friends, i dont use to to have "serious relationships" yes there are disgusting men who do masterbate to pictures of girls in bikinis but that girl chose to put that pic up of herself, its asking for it. i find cute pics of things that dont have my face on them. ppl, if u dont want a perv to masterbate to ur pics make ur profile private and dont put picture of ur half naked body online. easy, done.
Reply:most teens have permission from their parents and if don't want old men looking at your bikini pictures don't take pictures in your bikini. It's a way for teens to keep in touch with their friends, my friends are going to deferent schools next year and i'd like to keep in touch using something other than the phone or im so i use a socail networking website. as far as the dangers of myspace, kids should know not to accept and friend adds from ppl they don't know and not to meet anyone they don't know and they won't have that problem

Reply:i have permission of my parents. i just started highschool, and it's a great way to still stay in touch with my friends from middle school. you just have to know the people you're adding, and not add any weird people like that.

I was 14, at my friend's house, and we were really drunk, handcuffed to each other singing "where are you christmas?" at the same time we made the profile. we put some retarded *** things on my profile, that are still there today. I'm glad I made it though because I met my boyfriend on there, when he searched for chicks in his hometown and messaged me almost 2 yrs ago, lol. I havent gone on myspace.com in weeks, cuz the saying rings true: MYSPACE DRAMA WREAKS HAVOC!!!!!!! I hate myspace drama.
