Teens out there, PLEASE answer!!!!!!!?

Okay, this isn't so much of a question as just a general comment. Is it just me, or is there WAY too many questions on here about being pregnant at an early age? "My gf might be pregnant what do I do?" or "My bf and I had sex an hour ago, I think I might be pregnant?" Seriously, do kids REALLY not get it? If you are a teen and think you might be pregnant or think you got someone pregnant and are worried about it, STOP HAVING SEX. Why the fuss anyway? How great can sex be when it's with a 15 year old that "everyone's doing it" Seriously? A 15 yr old with "all the right moves" Come on! Is it just something you do just to do it, because again, it can't be that great? Is it a parenting issue? Why risk it? With all the education we have no on STD's and teen pregnancy growing more and more every day, why would you risk it? I seriously want to know why teens have sex so early knowing all there is to know. Oh, and no sarcasm please, I dont' have the patience for it.

Sex=Babies we all should have learned that by 5th grade. If you are not ready to take the responsibility of staying protected and/or raising a baby do NOT have sex!

but yeah I know what you mean, but we shouldn't look down and question what caused them to make the choices they chose to make.
Reply:Because teenagers are stupid. I mean, really. I'm sixteen, and my very closest guy friend had sex with his girlfriend a month into their relationship. He was almost 15 at the time I think? Or just barely 15. I think it's just ridiculous. They think it makes them "grown up" but all it makes them is a slut.





A girl I know is a year older than me, and she has a two year old. She recently went to Guidance to change her schedule because "I have a baby and ain't no one be tryin' to help me... I can't do dis."





A lot of girls think that being pregnant is romantic and fun, but they don't get that a baby is not a toy.





I also think that when it comes down to it, it's a lack of communication with parents. lot of kids can't talk to parents about sex, and schools teach an absitance only policy.





Teens have always, and always will have sex. The sex ed classes we're forced to take should at least talk about safe sex, because a lot of times, no sex isn't the option chosen.

but to answer your question, no most teens (in the us anyway) don't know about birth control or safe sex because the system teaches abstinence only, which is ridiculous in my opinion because not even a million pictures of stds will stop horny teenagers who THINK (yes i said think) they are in love.
Reply:i wished i could answer that question myself when i was 15. but now that i'm 22 and a mom, i just hope my daughters don't have sex early too. i think it's the excitment, but really you should say why are teens dating so young? if teens waited longer to date there wouldn't be that many early pregnancies. and also, they believe they are in love, so after the kissing they want to try the next level or just cant stop anymore, one thing leads to another.

Reply:i think that as each generation goes the younger sex is out there. im 15 im having sex and honestly i love it but yeah im pregnant too. having sex comes with responsibility and i was responsible and i was on bc BUT it does not always work. you cant blame us for asking we've been told to "ask an adult if you need help" were still pretty immature and we ask adults. were too embarassed to ask our parents so we go on here. dont hate please its not a parenting issue its hormones. we have lots of them
Reply:Lol because most teens only here dont have sex end of story! And they dont hear what needs to be heard. I am ok with a teen having sex BUT i think they need to be mature about it and know all ups and downs and about BC before they jump in the sack. I think they should get on BC talk to there moms before hand and get ck ups once a year if they want to be mature and have sex!





Most people does not want to believe there child is having sex so wont talk about BC or anything like that! Most schools also they just say dont have sex.

It's not that schools don't teach us about birth control! We have full access to internet, libraries, tv shows,etc. We don't need schools to teach us about that stuff.. Hell we can probably teach them.


But teens who have sex at 15 are just stupid. It's not that they were pressured into it or wanted to try it out.. they are just stupid! I seriously think some of them are just missing some brain cells...


I seriously think that if you are not old enough to drive... you shouldn't be dating in the first place. Much less having sex!


But you can't judge our entire generation for what some teens are doing. Yes, people are having early sex. But not all of us are stupid enough to get pregnant by some idiot we've only known a month. There's a lot of hormones but sometimes you have the let the brain do the thinking. We all have hormones but that's no excuse for a 15 year old to get pregnant.
Reply:very true, I guess it's the hormones thing, At that age boys are just discovering girls and are highly intrigued by them, and same with girls to boys. Also because they see in popular culture, many sexual things, they see it as acceptable, just because they saw it in a film, they think why would they show that kind of stuff if it wasn't okay. Like in that stage, priorities are just out of whack, I've asked many younger 14,15,16 year olds about their experiences and they tell me that they were horrible, and they make them lose interest in sex quickly. I really blame it on the hormones thing, kids just get too excited.

It's not your life. You may think our lives are screwed now that we have kids or are pregnant but there not!Yes we get that sex is "dangerous" but we dont care. It's our lives if we wanna risk it why does that bother you?





And most people dont have sex because everyone is doing it!!





Some times there are no issues. You in love with a person (or not) and you have sex with them. Most of you go around blaming out parents. It has nothing to do with them. They don't make the decisions for us!





We have sex because we want to and some times we love someone and wanna express it and the "easiest" way is having sex with the person
